Being the Multi-Service Access Platform HC-DM3700 chassis design with high flexible and versatile, it has powerful modules with various interfaces, can working with various remote standalone equipment, such as SDH, PDH Multiplexer, Interface Converter, Media Converter, and so on. HC-DM3700 can support 16 function cards, 2 power supply card (1 for redundant) and 2 MCU card. Provide 504×504 cross-connect matrix based on the VC12 (2048K) granularity. And HC-DM3700 support the management of all the plugged-in cards and the remote devices by the management card through NM software--- HCView.
HC-DM3700 has 2 MCU card which provide management and aggregation function. These two cards can both act as uplink cards, and can also be backup for each other. They can provide 2 to 8 STM-1 interface for aggregation. Each function slot supports upto 63E1, this is designed for the upgrade in the future. Now the HC-DM3700 can offer 126 E1 ports, or 64 PDH ports or 64 Etherent ports. For the Ethernet service, GFP, VCG and LCAS technology is used. Besides, there is also a timeslot function card which support cross-connect based on the 64K granularity in the card itself HC-DM3700 is a good aggregation equipment in last mile to carriers.
